Our Himalayan Nectar wild forest honey is harvested from the dense wild forests of Neora Valley. This dark amber honey is unprocessed and contains all the great benefits of raw honey.

Raw honey vs. Regular Honey: Raw honey is natural, virgin, unprocessed, unpasteurized & unfiltered. It comes straight from the honeycomb and contains healthful bee pollen, bee propolis, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and plenty of antioxidants. Regular honey, as opposed to raw honey, is processed and pasteurized. The high heat destroys many of the beneficial nutrients and removes any crystallization, though it may improve the color and texture of the honey, and extend its shelf life.

Sugar in Pure Honey: One tablespoon or 21 grams (g) of raw honey contains 64 calories and 16 g of sugar. These values may vary between brands and batches. Pure honey has a glycemic index (GI) of 58, meaning it has a medium effect on blood sugar levels.

Purity Check: Raw honey need not be refrigerated. Crystallization of raw honey is a natural process. Crystallization is an indication of its purity.

We source honey from the forest, through villagers, not from captive hives, and only in small batches. Enjoy nature's pure bounty!
